Ori-ChipOptoelectronicsGrand Opening Ceremony Held Successfully

On December 18, 2019, Ningbo Ori-Chip Optoelectronics Technology Co. Ltd. officially held its grand opening ceremony in Yinzhou Industrial Park, Ningbo! Representatives of Local government departments, investment institutions, peer companies and employees of Ori-Chip participated in the event.

The ceremony started with invited talks. Ori-Chip President Prof. Weihua Guo gave an introduction of the company and also shared the view of its future. Following the speech was the ribbon cutting ceremony, during which government officials, VCs, and board members cut the ribbon and announced the commencement of Ori-Chip. Guests also had a guided tour of Ori-Chip’s world-class III-V fab. Please see the pictures below.

Founded in 2018, Ori-Chip Optoelectronics Technology Co.Ltd.is dedicated to make the state-of-art semiconductor laser products as well as other photonic devices.The company's main productsinclude: full C-band widely-tunable laser diodes, 25G high-speed direct modulation DFB laser diodes, thin-film LiNbO3 modulator, etc. By using the cutting-edge InP technology, the products provide best performance at very competitive price. Ori-Chip holds multiple IPs, including patents from both China and the United States.

Ori-Chip have a state-of-art III-V production line with of a minimal linewidth <100nm.The class 100/1000 cleanroom space is over 5500 ft2. Ori-Chip provide fab service to selected customs as well.

The Opening ceremony was an important milestone for the company, which represented the completeness of fab construction, and also announced the beginning of a new chapter. In the next 6-12 months, Ori-Chip team will devote all our efforts to get several key products to the market, including DFB lasers, widely-tunable lasers and MZ modulators. The release of any of these products will be a major breakthrough in Chinese optoelectronics market, which not only bring profits to the company, but much more importantly keep the national communication link secure and make contributions to the society.
